|The Minnesota chapter of the American Recorder Society|
The Twin Cities Recorder Guild (TCRG), based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, is a chapter of the American Recorder Society. It is a non-profit organization with the goal of supporting and encouraging recorder playing in our community. We provide opportunities for members to play together and to learn more about recorder playing, and we share recorder and early music with the community through performances, workshops, and a newsletter.
We have monthly meetings (September - May) for recorder players of all ages and levels; they include group playing, a presentation by our music director or guest, socializing, and an opportunity to buy music and instruments.
Notice to school teachers: Members of TCRG are available to come to your school and demonstrate recorders of all sizes, answer questions, and play a variety of music in a recorder ensemble. Contact Barbara Aslakson (952-545-3178) or Jean Allison Olson.
