About
the Twin Cities Recorder Guild (TCRG)
The Twin Cities Recorder Guild (TCRG),
based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, is a chapter of the American Recorder
Society. It is a non-profit organization with the goal of supporting and
encouraging recorder playing in our community. We provide opportunities
for members to play together and to learn
more about recorder playing, and we share recorder and early music with
the community through performances, workshops, and a newsletter.
We have monthly meetings (September
- May) for recorder players of all ages and levels; they include group
playing, a presentation by our music director or guest, socializing, and
an opportunity to buy music and instruments. We meet at the same time
and place as the North Star Viols
and often share activities.
We produce a newsletter, maintain a lending
library of recorder music & instruments, and sponsor
recorder and early music workshops and performances.
